The Cherry Poppin Daddies formed at the University of Oregon in Eugene from several different groups based with vocalist/guitarist
Steve Perry and bassist Dan Schmid. Its ska/swing revival act first premiered with 1990’s Ferociously Stoned, followed
by Rapid City Muscle Car. As revival acts became more prominent in the mid ‘90s the group saw more mainstream success,
particularly when their third album was distributed by Caroline Records.
