Chicago Bulls Parking Passes

Chicago Bulls Parking Passes

Basketball Royalty: The Chicago Bulls

Ask anyone who grew up in the '90s who the best basketball team of all time was - and they're sure to say the Chicago Bulls. Stacked with all-star players and some of the most talented names in the history of the game, the Chicago Bulls defined what it meant to be an outstanding all-around team - and going to a Bulls game is a chance to be a part of that legacy. Make sure you buy parking passes with your game tickets so you can cheer for your team from your seat, not the parking lot.

Rivalries

For years, the Chicago Bulls and the New York Knicks were known to be huge rivals. The rivalry between the Knicks and the Bulls began in '89, when the Bulls, who were seeded sixth, beat the Knicks in the first round of the NBA playoffs. The Bulls and Knicks played against each other in the playoffs six times in eight years. The Bulls also have a famous rivalry with the geographically-closer Detroit Pistons. This rivalry reached its peak during the early '90s, but continues to be a heated contest today.

Team

The Chicago Bulls are the home team of Chicago, IL, and they play in the Central Division of the Eastern Conference of the NBA. The Bulls have a long legacy of being one of the best teams in the league, and they're back in action this year; getting Chicago Bulls parking passes and tickets will afford you the chance to see their exciting games at the United Center, known as the "Madhouse on Madison." This year, the team is stacked with talent, centered around all-star Derrick Rose, who made himself famous playing for the University of Memphis Tigers. Also on the team is D.J. Augustin, a guard; Mike Dunleavy, an outstanding forward; and Joakim Noah, the team's best center.

History

The Chicago Bulls first charged onto the basketball scene in 1966. While they were a good team from the start, they left their mark on basketball history in the '90s, when they began one of the greatest basketball dynasties of all times. The team during those years won six championships, including two three-peats. They also won a record 72 games during the 1995-96 history. The coach that led the bulls to prominence was Phil Jackson.

Hall of Fame Players

The Chicago Bulls have had eight Hall of Fame players, making them one of the most decorated clubs in the history of basketball. The hall-of-famers from the Chicago Bulls include Scottie Pippen, Michael Jordan, Dennis Rodman, Robert Parish, George Gervin, Artis Gilmore, Chet Walker and Nate Thurmond. Also, three Bulls coaches and assistant coaches were inducted - Phil Jackson, Jerry Sloan and Tex Winter; and Jerry Colangelo was inducted as a contributer.

Trivia

The Bulls are basketball royalty - but what made them that way was the talent of their players. In the 1995-96 season, Michael Jordan made 4 million dollars. After proving his prowess on the court, he re-signed his contract for the next year — for 31 million dollars. In the '95-96 season, the team was led by Scottie Pippen in assists, although Michael Jordan was the only player to start in all 82 games of the season. Dennis Rodman also helped make the team famous, though the all-star only stayed around for three years. Today, the Bulls are led by Derrick Rose, who went to the finals of the NCAA championship with the University of Memphis Tigers.

Postseason History

The Bulls performed well on the court during their seasons; but the postseason is when the Bulls cemented their reputation. Since their inception, the Bulls have appeared in the playoffs 29 times and won seven Division titles. They have won six overall championships - in '91-'93 and '96-'98.
