Chicago Bulls Schedule in 2014-15
The Chicago Bulls are ready to take to the court and lock horns with some of
the best teams in the National Basketball Association this season. The Bulls have a very good roster that could make them
one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. The Bulls play in the Central Division, where it looks like their main competition
for the division title will come from the Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers. The Bulls will be faced with a bevy of tough
games this season, and they'll need a great crowd at the United Center supporting them.
The Bulls will certainly look
forward to any matchups with the Cavs, as both of these clubs could be the team to finish atop the conference standings by
season's end. With James back on the board and a slew of young talent, the Cavaliers looks primed to make a huge leap from
last season's disappointing lottery finish. Chicago should be able to go toe-to-toe with Cleveland, though, providing they
don't allow LeBron to dominate the game.
Chicago will also have to elevate their level of play when the Pacers come
to town. The Pacers finished with the best record in the East last season and made it all the way to the Conference Finals
before being downed by the Miami Heat. With a budding star player in Paul George and a solid supporting cast around him, the
Pacers could definitely finish atop the standings in the East yet again. The Bulls suddenly find themselves in one of the
toughest division in the NBA, and they're going to have to rack up the wins to finish first in the standings.
Bulls Team Info
The Chicago Bulls are heading into the 2014-15 season with championship aspirations, and for good reason.
The Bulls look to have a decent shot at winning the East thanks to the conference shakeup that occurred in the wake of LeBron
James decision to leave the Miami Heat, a team that had won the last four Eastern Conference titles. The return of Derrick
Rose can make or break the Bulls' season, as he missed all of the 2012-13 season and most of the 2013-14 campaign due to injury.
Rose was the Most Valuable Player in the National Basketball Association just a few short years ago, but his health is certainly
not a guarantee at this point. If Rose can come back and return to his dominant self of several seasons ago, there is no reason
that the Bulls can't reach the NBA Finals. The team made two big moves in the offseason, signing free agent big man Paul Gasol
and electing to bring over Nikola Mirotic from overseas. Gasol is one of the most skilled big men to every take the court,
and though he's certainly entering the twilight of his career, 2013-14 proved to be a very good season for the Spaniard. Gasol
will team up with center Joakim Noah in the frontcourt to create a formidable front line. Mirotic was selected by the Bulls
in the NBA Draft a few years ago with the team knowing he would have to play overseas for multiple seasons before coming to
the NBA due to contractual obligations in Europe. He is expected to be a contributor from day one, as he is regarded as one
of the bets Euro prospects right now. Also worth mentioning is rookie Doug McDermott, who is coming off a National Player
of the Year season at Creighton; he should carve out some solid minutes right away as well. All in all, with a roster that
looks as good as any in the Eastern Conference and a head coach that knows how to get the job done, the Bulls look primed
to post a very good season in 2014-15.
