Chicago Cubs Schedule

Chicago Cubs Schedule - Cubs Schedule

2014 Chicago Cubs Schedule

When the Cubs are locked in a heated game, you can count on there being plenty of passionate Cubs fans at their back for all of the crucial moments. But that's true not just of the home games at legendary Wrigley Field, as Cubs fans are far and wide, making all of the road games heavily attended as well by the Chicago faithful. Once you're there watching the big game the way it was meant to be seen, home or away, you'll see that there is no substitution for the experience you'll have watching from the stands. When the game is on the line and the buzz of the crowd is rising, you'll definitely be glad that you're not sitting anywhere else.

With ballplayers like Starlin Castro, Anthony Rizzo and more, the Cubs have plenty of firepower and dreams of rising all the way to the top of the N.L. Central, though it's never easy in the same division as the Pirates, Cubs, Brewers and Cardinals. Come out and see all of the towering homers, spectacular catches and nail-biting moments that have become standard operating procedure for the Cubs over the years. With their eyes on the N.L. Central lead, the Cubs are sure to deliver plenty of big-time wins throughout the regular season.

The Experience

Don't even think about missing out on a great game that you'll be talking about well after the final pitch. If you want to join in America's Pastime, you can't get the true feel for it from that disappointing flatscreen, though you can't just take our word for it. Get out and see a great game loaded with some of the brightest stars that Major League Baseball has to offer as the Cubs look to give their fans another memorable season of action. There may be plenty of different ways to follow the team, but checking a Cubs box score is not even in the same league as watching the game from the stands with the rest of the excitable Cubs fans.

The Team

In the N.L. Central, the Cubs have to go up against a steady string of talented foes, with the Brewers, Reds, Pirates and Cardinals all looking to rise to the top of the standings. Thanks to a tough team filled with savvy vets and up-and-coming stars, this is a team that you definitely need to look out for as they hope to put it all together, reach their potential and get back to the postseason. Players like Starlin Catro and Jeff Samardzija always give them a chance on the diamond, and other guys like Anthony Rizzo and Jay Bruce tend to strike fear in opponents just as much. With the Reds looking to reclaim their position near the top of the standings, this is a team you don't want to miss out on.

Chicago Cubs Trivia

Did you know that Hack Wilson set the MLB record for RBIs in a season while playing for the Cubs?

The Cubs had one of the greatest players in history when Wilson went nuts on pitching staffs all over the league in 1930, bashing in 190 runs and smacking 56 homers. But even though 190 is crazy as it is, historians eventually looked back and realized that he had 191 RBIs in 1930, updating the record books and cementing a record that may not ever be approached again.

Cubs History

MLB tickets to see the Chicago Cubs have been a part of the baseball tickets market in Chicago since the Cubs became a team in the 1870s, making them one of the oldest teams in professional sports. Famously, the Cubs haven't won a World Series title since 1908, but that has only encouraged fans to make sure that they're there when the curse is lifted. Ernie Banks, Ryne Sandberg and Billy Williams all have worn Cubs colors in their proud history, and the Cubbies are now in an exciting new era with a talented young team that is poised to make a big run up the N.L. Central standings.

The Fans

Wrigley Field is sure to be packed with fans looking to celebrate the game of baseball, which is why that Wrigley has developed such a great reputation for being fan-friendly. Be in the stands for all of the electrifying stolen bases, towering homers and dramatic punch-outs that the Cubs are known for as they look to take on all the top teams in the N.L. Central, though it's never easy against talented teams like the Cardinals, Brewers, Pirates and the Reds. Whether you're looking for a tough home game against a prominent foe or highly anticipated interleague match-up on the road, there are plenty of opportunities and possibilities for the Cubbies and their fans this season as they look to swing their way up the N.L. Central standings.
