Come out and see all of the smooth jumpers, sensational passes and nail-biting moments that have become standard operating procedure over the years for the Chicago Sky as they've developed a big-time fan base around the Chicago area. The Sky is the limit for this team, because their top draft picks are going to make all the difference. They finished last season on a high note, and now they are ready to fight for another chance at the playoffs in a season that will have more than its fair share of memorable moments.

Chicago Sky Team Info

If you're looking for family-friendly fun featuring some of the best players in the WNBA, then look no further than a Chicago Sky game. The amazing athletes that make up this astounding team make every matchup an exciting one, as these ladies can light up the scoreboard in a real hurry as the top players in the world battle it out on the hardwood. Allstate Arena tends to be absolutely bumping for all of the most anticipated games of the year, providing the perfect atmosphere for a big game as the Sky look to remain major factors in the Eastern Conference. Though the Chicago Bulls get plenty of attention as well around the Windy City, you definitely don't want to sleep on the Sky, as this is a team that always seems to be in the middle of one unbelievable game or another.

WNBA Fan Experience

There's nothing quite like seeing your favorite WNBA team take the court right before your eyes in a game that is sure to have plenty of twists, turns and bench-gripping moments. Though there are lots of ways to experience sports these days, there is still only one way to get the full experience, and it definitely isn't sitting at home cranking up your stereo system and your flatscreen. When the game is on the line and the Sky are digging in looking to knock down a clutch bucket to help seal the deal against a conference rival, you can count on there being an atmosphere that you'll be talking about a long time after the final whistle. The WNBA is always absolutely filled with great matchups, and the Sky tend to be battling it out in some of the very best games of the season.

Chicago Sky History

The Chicago Sky was formed in 2005, and played their first game in the 2006 season. The city of Chicago was awarded a new WNBA franchise during 2005, and in May of that year, Coach Dave Cowens, who is a former NBA player and coach, signed on to be the head coach and general manager of the new team. The Chicago Sky was originally called WNBA Chicago, but was later changed to reflect the beauty of the city's skyline. The team's colors also reflect the skyline with their yellow and light blue hues that are reminiscent of a sunny day in Chicago. There may be plenty of things to do around the Windy City, it being one of the most famous cities in the world and all, but it still doesn't get any better than watching a big-time Chicago Sky game alongside thousands of your fellow fans.

Chicago Sky Trivia

Did you know that Candice Dupree made it to the All-Star Game three straight seasons?

Although there was no All-Star Game in 2008, Dupree made the game in 2006, 2007 and 2009, helping make her one of the top players in the franchise's history in that time span.

Chicago Sky Fans

Come and watch some of the best athletes in the country run for rebounds, scramble for loose balls and drive the ball to the basket. Listening to the team on the radio or watching them on TV is great, but there's nothing like seeing the Chicago Sky in person. This is a sport that really springs to life when you get a chance to see the drama unfold before your very eyes, as the buzz of the crowd helps make WNBA games a completely different level of spectator sports experience. As soon as you're there in the middle of a game that is still up in the air, with the fans digging in and waiting for an epic finale, you'll definitely be glad that you're not still sitting at home wondering what the atmosphere of the big game is like. These ladies can do a little bit of everything, guaranteeing an exciting style of basketball that always has fans jumping out of their seat on a regular basis throughout the regular season and into the playoffs. At Allstate Arena in Chicago, you'll have the perfect place for all the biggest moments in another Chicago Sky season.
