Kelly was a successful nightclub singer who killed her husband and sister (also her performing partner) after catching them together in bed. Hart saw Kellys final show after the murder and is in hot water herself after she kills her lover. Both are sent to Cook County Jail and share the smooth-talking lawyer Billy Flynn.
