Christian McBride was born May 31, 1972. While in high school he studied R&B before he took a liking to jazz music. He didn’t start working with his own jazz group until 1995, and before long his album, Family Affair, appeared. He has continued to release more albums over the years with several different record labels, including Sci-Fi and Vertical Vision, and most recently with 2006’s New York Time, with Chesky.
