Cincinnati Bengals Schedule in 2014

The Cincinnati Bengals are on the prowl for victories this season, and they're ready to take on all comers that dare step into Paul Brown Stadium this season seeking a win. The Bengals have a lot of talent on their roster, evidenced by the team finishing atop the AFC North standings last season. The Bengals would love to repeat that feat in 2014, and it's going to take another banner year to do so. With some of the top playmakers in the National Football League, Cincinnati is ready to rise to the occasion and prove that they're here to stay as one of the premiere teams in the conference. The Bengals have a bevy of great matchups at home this season, and fans will pack into the stadium to see the action unfold right before their eyes.

The Bengals will be looking forward to October 26th when they'll host the Baltimore Ravens. The Bengals and Ravens have had a lot of great battles in the past, as they're division rivals, and the two squads give it everything they've got every time they line up against one another. This battle should be one for the ages, and the Bengals would love to send the Ravens back to Baltimore with a loss.

Cincinnati has another big game coming their way on December 7th when the Pittsburgh Steelers will take the field at Paul Brown Stadium. The Steelers are one of the Bengals' biggest rivals, and these two teams make it no secret that they don't like one another. That always makes for some fantastic fireworks on the field, and you can see it all play out for yourself.

Cincinnati Bengals Team Info

The Cincinnati Bengals are hoping to advance further into the postseason next time around, and the team took stop big step in improving their roster this offseason via the NFL Draft. The Bengals addressed an area of need when they selected cornerback Darqueze Dennard in the first round of the draft. Dennard will likely be the third corner for the Bengals, but their starters are not all that young, so the team probably expects the rookie to turn into a starter over time. The Bengals running back Jeremy Hill out of LSU to further deepen their backfield. Cincy surely has high hopes for youngster Gio Bernard, but at a position where players take a physical pounding it's always good to have depth. In the fifth round the Bengals landed Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron, who won two national championships at with the Crimson Tide under head coach Nick Saban. McCarron could very well win the backup job heading into the 2014 season.

The Bengals are coming off a 2013 season in which they won their division, and the team would love to do so yet again. The club has a solid quarterback in Andy Dalton, who has some ups and downs last year but was able to help this team to many victories. The Bengals aren't only a strong team because of their quarterback, though, as A.J. Green is establishing himself as one of the very best receivers in the entire NFL. Defensively, the Bengals also have a reputation for having one of the staunchest defensive fronts in the league and some big-time talent in their linebacker and secondary corps, providing the type of balance you need to take it to the next level – the formula that the Seattle Seahawks used to get all the way to the top of the league. With a promising core group of talent and some major playmakers on both sides of the ball, this is a team you definitely don't want to miss out on this season.

Fan Experience

The NFL is the most popular sports league in the country for a reason, and it definitely isn't because there is a lack of excitement from game to game and season to season as the Bengals look to make their move up the AFC North standings. These are some of the best athletes in the world, and people love to see them in action live and in person. There is nothing like being there when the home team takes the lead late in the game thanks to a long touchdown run or pass. You'll be hooked once you experience the roar of the crowd when the victory is in hand. It's incredible to be there in person for a great matchup, and the Cincinnati Bengals will be involved in plenty of intriguing contests this season.

Cincinnati Bengals Trivia

When did the Bengals reach the Super Bowl for the first time?

The answer is the 1981 season, when the Bengals were able to run the gauntlet that is the AFC playoffs and reach the biggest game in American sports. The team would return to the Super Bowl seven years later, but the organization still awaits its first time capturing the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Cincinnati Bengals History

The first Cincinnati Bengals team was formed in 1937 with the American Football League, but the folding of the first AFL led to the Bengals joining other leagues until shutting down before the start of World War II. The Bengals started up again in 1967 and have had some memorable seasons since then, though these days fans are clamoring because they can see the writing on the wall, mainly that the Bengals are a team that has a very bright future ahead of them.

Cincinnati Bengals Fans

Bengals' fans definitely know a thing or two about showing their support for the hometown team, though that's something that you have to see for yourself to truly appreciate. We all know that you can get an idea of what the game is like from home, sort of, but it's a completely different experience to actually feel the pulse of the crowd as the Bengals dig in looking to make one more big play to seal the deal. Hope springs eternal in Cincinnati, and you'll be glad that you're not still sitting at home when you could be right in the thick of the bone-jarring excitement this season.
