The Cleveland Browns - Schedule in 2014

The Browns are headed back to the gridiron for another intense season of clutch throws, game-on-the-line kicks and spectacular catches that have become staples of the Browns over the years. Come out and see all of the heart-pounding action as the Browns look to make some major noise in the AFC North, though that's never easy going up against tough teams like the Ravens, the Steelers and the Bengals. The schedule is packed to the brim with unbelievable matchups that you know that you'll want to be a part of, from top-tier home games to highly anticipated road games that are sure to be the talk of the town leading up to the opening kick-off. In addition to hosting their division rivals as they do every season, the Browns' home schedule includes intriguing games against the Colts, Raiders and Saints in 2014.

Though the Browns haven't been to the playoffs for a little while, the talent level on this team is something to behold, which is why this is a team that you definitely don't want to sleep on. Josh Gordon is the type of wideout who is a superstar in the making and then you have stalwarts like Joe Thomas on the offensive line, giving fans plenty of reasons for optimism as the Browns look to make their move up the AFC North standings this season.

The Team

The Browns continue to make changes with their team, and they have been rebuilding recently and suddenly their roster looks packed with players on the rise, making this one of the teams to look out for in the AFC North. Browns fans knew early on that Josh Gordon was something special, though no one really expected him to burst onto the scene with one of the best rookie seasons in the history of the NFL for a receiver – and that's all in just 14 total games. With some exciting playmakers and another team that can do a little bit of everything, this is a team that definitely won't be held down for long, providing plenty of reasons for fans to daydream about watching the Browns get back to the playoffs in another exciting era of football.

The Experience

Dating back millennia, people have been gathering for intense spectator sports, and that's not something likely to change any time in the near future. Obviously things have changed quite a bit since the days of Roman chariot racing, but there are still some big-time sports that routinely turn out fans by the tens of thousands. Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll know that one of the premier sporting events of the day is the NFL, though that's something that you'll have to see first-hand to truly appreciate. Ditch the couch and get out to the stands for a game loaded with Pro Bowl-level players that know how to put on a show as the Browns look to give their fans plenty to cheer about once again this season.

Browns Trivia

Do you know that the Browns have had two of the greatest running backs in history wear their colors?

Jim Brown was nothing short of a dominant force when he was wreaking havoc on defenses back in the 50s and 60s, but the Browns also drafted Ernie Davis, one of the most heralded college players in history. Though Davis' story ended in tragic fashion, old school Browns fans (and Syracuse University fans) knew how special Davis was both on and off the field, making him a legend of Cleveland nonetheless.

Browns History

The Cleveland Browns were founded in 1945 as a member of the All-America Football Conference. Ownership originally wanted to call the team the Panthers, but in a very unique situation in the history of football ended up settling on naming the team after the organization's first head coach, Paul Brown. The Browns were nearly unstoppable during their first several seasons of existence and entered the NFL in 1950, a season in which they won the NFL Championship. The franchise added three more NFL titles before the NFL-AFL merger in 1970, the last of which came in 1964.

The Browns have yet to win a Super Bowl and have been on the bad luck side of some memorable postseason moments, the most famous of which came at the hands of Hall-of-Fame quarterback John Elway and the Denver Broncos in a game that has become known as "The Drive" among NFL fans and historians. But even though the Browns haven't made the playoffs since 2002, they have another talented squad and fans know that it's just a matter of time before they get right back there.

Browns Fans

FirstEnergy Stadium is a great venue to see a game featuring your favorite team, but don't take our word for it. Come out to the stands and you'll actually be a part of the action in a way that you simply can't from home, no matter how big your high-def TV is. Put down the remote, brush off the potato chips and see the big game the way it was meant to be seen as Browns fans storm the stands this season hoping to get a glimpse of a talented team on the rise in the AFC.
