War Kids Background
Cold War Kids emerged onto Southern California's indie rock scene in the early 2000s, with their
2004 inception in downtown Fullerton. The band's initial lineup consisted of Nathan Willet, Matt Aveiro, and Matt Maust, three
aspiring musicians who met regularly to jam together. Eventually, these jam sessions progressed into something more, and the
band started to record their first demos. In the spring of 2005, their first EP was released under Monarchy Music. This EP,
titled Mulberry Street, helped ignite the band's career in the indie scene, as more and more people that listened to their
unique and hypnotizing sound became infatuated with this new indie band. The Cold War Kids embarked on tour, bringing their
fun and soulful indie rock tunes to stages all over the country, releasing several more EPs in the following years.
Cold War Kids toured incessantly in the mid-2000s, and when they eventually stopped for a breather, they decided to relocate
to Long Beach, California. The next several albums they recorded received glowing reviews from critics, and the band was invited
to tour with Death Cab for Cutie, a massive break in their music career. Since then, their recognition as one of the hottest
bands in indie music has been cemented, and now the Cold War Kids play to sold out crowds all over the world. Whenever the
Cold War Kids step out on stage, you can expect a contagiously fun and exciting show filled with some of your favorite indie
rock tunes, so you definitely don't want to miss out on seeing the Cold War Kids in one of their upcoming shows! Make your
