Both comedians have appeared regularly on the Emmy Award-winning television show Whose Line Is It Anyway?

Colin Mochrie started to get his feet wet in the comedy scene when he attended the Studio 58 theatre school in Vancouver for four years, where he discovered his skills as an improvisational comedian. After graduating, Mochrie began working with the internationally renowned Vancouver TheatreSports League in 1980. It was during this time when he would meet fellow Whose Line Is It Anyway? costar, Ryan Stiles.

After ending his time with the Vancouver TheatreSports League, Mochrie moved to Toronto and auditioned for the Second City comedy troupe, where Ryan Stiles had already been working. He began working for Second City for about three years, and contributed to writing and starring in three productions and directed three seasons of their touring company. After Second City, Mochrie auditioned for the British improv show Whose Line Is It Anyway? but actually did not make the cut at that time. He later moved to Los Angeles, but auditioned again and made the cut. After appearing on only one episode, he was let go. The third time was a charm for Mochrie, as he auditioned yet again, this time scoring a regular spot on the show for seven years until the show ended in 1998. Mochrie went on the join the American version which was hosted by Drew Carey, and he brought along his old friend Ryan Stiles. Mochrie recently starred in the ABC comedy series Trust Us With Your Life, and also returned to Whose Line Is It Anwway? which is now being aired on the CW network.

Mochrie's counterpart Brad Sherwood got his start at just eight years old, when he began acting. After attending Wright State University and earning a BFA in acting, Sherwood had his first official acting gig as a recurring role on the television show L.A. Law. He later was a regular cast member of the sketch-comedy show The Newz.

In the early nineties, Sherwood scored a recurring role as a performer on the British Whose Line Is It Anyway? and was the only Los Angeles-based actor to make the cut during auditions. Throughout the rest of the decade, he also hosted The Dating Game, The Big Moment, andwas featured as a guest host on Talk Soup. He has since made numerous appearances on pop-culture panelist shows like I Love the 70s, I Love the 80s, I Love the 90s, 100 One Hit Wonders of the 80s, and Greatest Game Show Moments. He is regularly featured as a panelist on Chelsea Lately, and has also made over 100 appearances in sketches on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
