The band was formed in Stockbridge, Georgia in 1993, but the members all knew each other from their days of playing in local clubs as members of separate bands. They got together and began to do the same thing for themselves, and they were discovered by Atlantic Records. They released their first album in 1994, and overall they've put out six studio cuts, all of which have charted. The band’s name actually comes from a line in Ayn Rand’s “The Fountainhead.” Their music is They’re usually compared to bands like Bush or Candlebox.
