While he was born in Bermuda, Buddz grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana and went on to study audio engineering at Full Sail University in Orlando, FL. His name is based on slang for cannabis, his endorsement of the substance has been publicized in more than few photographs. In addition to performing, Buddz launched his own record label 'Harper Digital.'
