Colorado Rapids Schedule in 2014
The Colorado Rapids are ready to rack up the victories this season as they take

Colorado Rapids History
The Colorado Rapids were one of 10 founding clubs off Major League Soccer, owned and
operated by the Anschutz Corporation. The Rapids did not have a good first season, and the following year saw some changes.
Glenn Myernick became their new head coach and a new general manager, Dan Counce, was brought on board. The team faced some
obstacles early on, but rallied to seize a post-season spot - making it to the 1997 MLS Cup final but losing to the D.C. United.
The Rapids made it to the 1999 U.S. Open Cup were defeated by the Rochester Raging Rhinos. The 2000 season had some milestone
moments. The first was Marcelo Balboa's famous bicycle kick, which garnered the Goal of the Year. The second was clinching
a playoff spot in the final game of the season against the Los Angeles Galaxy, with Paul Bravo scoring in the 97th minute.
Over the years the fans have seen many changes in management, but through it all they continue to be a solid team.
