Dave Koz grew up in California’s San Fernando Valley and learned to play the piano at a very young age. When he was older, Koz learned to play the saxophone so that he could be in his brother's band. After graduating from UCLA with his degree in Mass Communications, Koz followed his dream and became a musician. In 1990, Koz’s solo career blossomed and he released his praised debut album. Koz also played on the Arsenio Hall's show and is now known in the soft contemporary jazz genre.
