About Con Bro Chill

Hailing from Portland, Oregon, Con Bro Chill is not only a producer of relentlessly upbeat party music, but the project of a professional lacrosse player and a brand of clothing as well. The one-of-a-kind band had its roots in the joke videos produced by lacrosse player Connor Martin and his producer brother Sam (who goes by the moniker SAMM). Con Bro Chill would be officially founded in 2009 when Connor and Sam called upon the back-up vocal services of well-known party monster Ty "Ty Boy" Andrew. Con Bro Chill has since attracted the sterling talent of Connor's college roommate, Steve Felts, and angelic vocalist Joy Martin. Together, they have produced an electro hip hop, party-themed multimedia performance which furthers their primary objective of being hilarious.

With equally strong auditory and visual presences, Con Bro Chill has drawn on the energetic super-pop of LMFAO, the philosophy of party master Andrew W.K., the panache and operatic grandeur of Freddie Mercury, as well as party music elements from all decades of music with a focus on the 'eighties. As self-proclaimed artists of "neon dance pop," Con Bro Chill celebrates the self-produced, hyperbolically-styled music videos (a la Blink 182 and OK GO), over the top neon costumes, and live shows of non-stop dancing. In short, Con Bro Chill is about the celebration of life.

Within a year of their founding, Con Bro Chill would send out a series of hit online videos and would digitally release their first EP This Is Cool with the single "Come To My Party." In 2010, the band would release their sophomore EP This Is Boom. By the beginning of 2012, Con Bro Chill would have released their debut album, 3D Music. Their latest EP, We Came To Party, was released thanks to their very successful Kickstarter campaign.

Previous Hits

Since their inception in 2009, Con Bro Chill has released a series of hit videos online. From "Dance Thief," which is about a man named Richie who is intent on stealing your dance moves, to the joyful weekend celebration of "Party Animal," Con Bro Chill puts out the very best in carefree dance music.

Apart from their strong online presence, the real secret to their success is their live shows. With their irrepressible energy, neon costumes, and sing-a-long tunes, Con Bro Chill knows how to keep the audience dancing all night long.

Trivia

The definition of "con bro chill" on UrbanDictionary.com describes the term as "chill lax bro" and as being closely attuned to the deity of flow, "Floseidon." It is unclear whether "con bro chill" is an adjective, noun, or verb, but such distinctions pale in importance to the ultimate enjoyment of life that constitutes the con bro chill state.
