An indie stalwart since the late ‘90s, Bright Eyes made Conor Oberst in name and image, bringing him enormous exposure
as its heart-rendered frontman. But in 2008, this Omaha native is going solo. His debut solo album, featuring the Mystic
Valley Band, will be released to excited fans. Get concert tickets for his live shows now!
The name Bright Eyes is by now synonymous with Oberst’s, who has been its heart since forming in the late ‘90s.
Before that, Oberst had been in a band called Commander Venus, and was crucial in the forming of indie music label Saddle
Creek. Even while in Bright Eyes, Oberst was known to play some gigs solo, so his change to being “officially”
solo won’t be much of a shock to anyone.
The Mystic Valley Band is named for the place in which Conor Oberst’s debut solo album was recorded: Tepoztlan,
in Morelos, Mexico. A mountain villa in the Valle Mistico provided a location for a temporary studio. Their music was released
in August 2008. Bright Eyes fans are sure to snap up these Conor Oberst tickets, so
get them while you still can!
