Cotton Bowl History

The Cotton Bowl Classic is one of the oldest bowls in all of NCAA football, as it was first founded by J. Curtis Stanford and held in 1937, with TCU defeating Marquette. Since then, the Cotton Bowl Classic has remained a top attraction in college football, and recent years have seen teams from the SEC take some big victories. For decades, the Cotton Bowl Classic took place at the Cotton Bowl Stadium, though in 2014 the game will be held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX.
