Country and Folk Music Tickets

Country Music tickets - Country tickets

Upcoming Events

You can rest assured that two of the most listened to genres in the entire United States will have an abundance of live performances happening from coast to coast throughout the entire year. While the United States has a very eclectic taste that varies greatly, it seems safe to say that country music is practically the genre of choice for all of America, and it shows with all of the shows popping up daily across the nation. Folk is also one of the most beloved genres, with some of the biggest artists making an impact on the music scene to this day, as well as having a strong influence on artists that continue to emerge onto the scene. So if you're in the mood for some live country or folk music, then you're in luck because there's no shortage to be found anytime soon. A few of the artists making an appearance in the coming weeks are: Shania Twain, Merle Haggard, Neko Case, Iron and Wine, Leftover Salmon, The Band Perry, Lee Brice and more! You can't go wrong with heading out to a live performance, so make sure that they next time you need tickets that you let StubHub make the hunt a little easier.

History

There are few genres or styles of music that have as much rich history in the same way that country and folk do, as both are incredibly interested in both their beginning as well as the stages of evolution that they've gone under. Folk music can be divided into either traditional or contemporary, with traditional having a few subsections of it's own. Traditional folk music usually refers to the music that has no known composer due to it's age or songs carried through the generations by word of mouth. Contemporary folk music is the style that we know today that grew out of the folk revival period of the 20th century, as a new and more popular style of folk was evolving. On the other hand, country music is one of the most distinctly American genres in the music scene, arising from the southern United States beginning around the early 20th century. Drawing from styles of folk and western music, country implements a wide array of elements from various genres, but mostly uses string instruments, ballads, and dance tunes.

Life As a Music Lover

The genres of country and folk have deep and rich histories that have culminated in a massive backlog of hit artists, albums, and singles that make for a great library of music that will never get old. So while the classics will always be there, there are also the new and up and coming artists that have been making their names on the music scene, adding their flair and style to an already incredibly powerful and talented genre. There are so many artists that no matter what kind of style of either country or folk, or maybe even country folk, that you're in the mood for, you can find exactly what you're looking for and even more.

Introducing New Fans

While often times people grow into a genre of music by listening to it when they're young and as they grow up, but it's also common for people to be swayed by a style from hearing just a single song. So while you may be incredibly intrigued by the sounds of country and folk, your friends and family might not be as interested in the same styles as you. An easy way to share the wealth of musical knowledge with others outside your musical inclinations is to find an artist that best represents the sound that you love and bust out the hits for everyone to hear. Be it some classic rockabilly Elvis Presley or maybe the indie folk complexity that is Mumford and Sons, no matter what artist or style you choose as representation will undoubtedly leave others as fans. The best part about getting some new fans into your favorite style of music is that from there on out you have a new companion to join you on your future live music outings!

Experiences

Music is one of the greatest things that a person can make an every day part of their lives, but the only thing that can really top the feelings that music incite is heading out to experience that music live and being performed by the artist in the flesh. There is a wide array of different artists that make up the country and folk music scenes, with the artists and their style of music varying as much as possible while still staying within the confines of their respective genres. You could head out to a show for Appalachian folk, bluegrass, Irish music, honky tonk, rockabilly, Nashville, country rock, folk rock, electro folk, and so many more, but as long as you make it out to the artist that plays the style of music that you love most, you are bound to have yourself a great time! So do yourself a favor and check out the upcoming events that will be happening near you to see if there will be an artist or style that fits you and your schedule perfectly, and from there all you have to do is grab your tickets from StubHub and you're already halfway there!
