A native of Kingston Springs, Tennessee, Craig would enter the mainstream music world at a late stage in his
life, after considerable life experience that included work as an EMT and nearly two decades serving in the United States
Army. It wouldn't be until the year 2000, after a tumultuous few years bouncing around the Nashville music scene that Craig
would pick up a record deal with Atlantic Records, with his debut album becoming a huge breakout success that made Craig's
name commonplace within the country music community.
Disaster would strike as Atlantic decided to close its Nashville
branch, but despite being an unsigned artist Craig would push on, eventually landing a new gig with Broken Bow Records in
2002 and his sophomore follow up album the following year. Despite being a part of an independent label, Craig still made
major inroads into the commercial music scene, including recognition from Broadcast Music Incorporated for song of the year.
Now with unstoppable momentum, Craig continued a steady stream of full length releases that would continue to receive critical
praise, radio airplay, and numerous awards from different outfits all across the music industry. Throughout his career Craig's
music has been praised as traditional, hard hitting, and infused with a fundamental Americana that blends the best of old
time country and new time rock and roll that continues to capture the heart and ears of country music fans everywhere.
Craig's third full length release, My Kind of Livin', would drop in 2005 to critical and commercial
acclaim as it would eventually sail to the #7, #40, and #3 positions on the US Country, Billboard 200, and US Indie charts,
respectively. The album was Craig's biggest success to date, and received a glowing B rating from Entertainment Weekly that
applauded the album's sound that was epitomized by its three mega hit singles: "That's What I Love About Sunday", "Redneck
Yacht Club", and "I Got You".
Craig's 2006 follow up would again experience widespread success, again hitting the #3
position on the US indie charts and also climbing to the #13 position on the US Country charts. The album, titled Little bit
of Life, would fall under the production tutelage of Keith Stegall and feature another three hit singles, including the #7
charting "Little Bit of Life", #11 charting "Tough", and the #10 charting and crowd favorite "International Harvester".
most recent release, This Ole Boy, would drop in 2012, this time on new label Black River Entertainment. The album received
glowing reviews from critics, with three and a half star ratings from AllMusic, Country Weekly, and Roughstock magazine. The
album would hit the #3 position on Billboard's Independent Albums charts, as well as the #41 position on the US Billboard
Drawing from his background as an EMT, Craig would be one of the first on the scene of a house
fire that would see him rush into a house to rescue three young children. In addition to rescuing the children, Craig would
also grab a fire hose to assist in putting out the fire.
A former servicemen, Craig is a contributor to the USO tour
that performs for military members across the world. He also contributes funds to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation
and for Billy's Place.
