San Diego's Crocodiles drift through murky sonic territory. The band's drifting, buzzing rock comes with plenty of reverb,
making them one of the scuzziest bands to take the stage these days. Heavily indebted to The Jesus and Mary Chain for their
signature sound, they've released a new record called Sleep Forever. Get concert
tickets to hear their hits on tour.
Do the guys in Crocodiles look familiar? You might remember them from another well-known San Diego band, The Plot to Blow
Up the Eiffel Tower. Charles Rowell and Brandon Welchez reconvened in 2008 for Crocodiles, bringing plenty of feedback to
the stage. Their single "Neon Jesus" was selected by indie stars No Age as one of the best songs of 2008, pushing Crocodiles
into the spotlight and eventually earning them a record deal. They have often toured or worked together with Dum Dum Girls,
whose frontwoman Dee Dee Penny is married to Welchez.
San Diego has plenty of fine weather year-round, but Crocodiles are ready to thrive in all climates. They are heading out
on tour again, so make sure you catch them when they bring their new music to a venue near you.
