Formed in mid-2009, Damaura exploded onto the scene as one of the more versatile and dynamic sounds the San Francisco bay area has seen. The band consists of frontman/guitarist Chris Black, drummer Mike Davi, guitarist Bernt Strom and bassist Dan Cutt. The band features a very dynamic, explosive, heavy and melodic sound, with its display of harmonizing guitars, vocals, and blistering percussive elements.
They've released albums Fall Before Me and Leave No One to rave reviews. It takes its name from the combination of the Celtic goddess Damara and aura, often associated with power and energy.
Damaura looks to build on its ever-growing fan base in the western states, then eventually plan its assault on the entire US!
