About Dana Carvey
Dana Carvey is an incredibly popular comedian and actor, having
portrayed so many characters on the hit sketch comedy show and played the starring role as Garth in a film that helped to
define a generation. Before becoming the successful comedian-actor he is today, Dana Carvey was born in Missoula, Montana
before moving to San Carlos, California. Dana Carvey honed his on-air skills while obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast
Communications from San Francisco State University. His early professional career included minor acting roles. While both
of Dana Carvey's parents were schoolteachers, his brother, Brad, is an engineer and considered somewhat a pioneer in video
production. Brad developed "Video Toaster," which was an inexpensive method to make Hollywood quality videos. It is thought
that the character Garth in Wayne's World is inspired by Dana's brother. It must be both flattering and a bit nerve racking
to have your sibling create a character based off of you. Needless to say, Dana Carvey portrayed a character that is still
adored by legions of Wayne and Garth fans. While Brad may not feel worthy, it was clear that Dana Carvey felt that his sibling
was entirely worthy of being an on screen character.

roles for movies like Bad Boys to focus on being a new father. While there are a handful of comedy-films in which Dana Carvey
participated that were not highly regarded, he is on Comedy Central's list of 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time. No matter
what Rotten Tomatoes or critics say about a film, being considered one of the top standup comedians of all times is winning.

W. Bush with former Saturday Night Live impersonators to conduct a Presidential Reunion in 2010.
