The sounds of Dance/Electronic music first hit the airwaves during the 1980s. The sound emerges from the 1970s disco music. Artists who perform dance and electronic music use instruments such as synthesizers, drum machines and sequencers to get their techo sound. The most popular forms of this genre are techno, trance and house music.
This type of music is most popular in danceclubs across the nation and can be found at discotheques and rave scenes.
