The Dayton Dragons kicked off their history with their first game back in 1988 as the Rockford Expos, though eventually they would make the move to Dayton and reestablish the team in a new era as the Dayton Dragons in 2000. The Dragons have yet to go all the way to the top of the league, but they've had some close calls, and you never know when they're going to break through with a banner, championship season. But even though they haven't won the big one, they still have won five different divisional titles, including one as recently as 2011. This is a team that is always setting up for one exciting matchup or another, giving you plenty of reasons to put down the remote and head out to see what the rest of the Dayton faithful already know.

Dragons Fans

The home stadium of the Dayton Dragons is Fifth Third Field, which was named after a local area banking chain. The Stadium holds about 8,200 people, but don't be surprised if every seat in the park is filled by the start of the game – something that has become a bit of a tradition in the last quarter of a century around Dayton. The team has also earned a spot in the postseason nearly every season since 2000, and they are eager to return once again this year as they look to pull together and reach their potential in another season sure to have more than a fair share of bench-gripping moments.
