Daytona Supercross Rides Again
The Daytona Supercross speeds into the iconic Daytona International Speedway on
March 8, 2014 for Daytona Beach Bike Week. Sponsered by Honda, this exciting bike race is the only AMA Supercross event in
the state of Florida for 2014, so Daytona Supercross tickets are a must-get for any Supercross fan. The legendary tri-oval
track is being designed by five-time Daytona Supercross champion Ricky Carmichael for the seventh straight year, with each
year the stakes being raised higher and higher, with Ricky sure to test his peers to the fullest extent.
as a standard motocross event, Daytona changed the name to Supercross in 1975, and has since become the longest running Supercross
event in history. One of the most exciting races happened in 1984, in which the victor had to be decided by a photo finish
between Johnny O'Mara and Rick Johnson. Johnson won. Honda signed on as the sponsor in 1991, and has been every year since.
They are also the brand with which racers have won the most races.
Considered the NASCAR of motocross,
the AMA Supercross has been called "the king of extreme sports" and gets its name after being called "the Super Bowl of motocross."
Taking over stadiums nationwide, original and dangerous tracks are sculpted from dirt by construction crews. With the Daytona
Supercross track, an added level of difficulty is brought in by using sand as well. All of this makes the Daytona Supercross
a must see for any fan and the perfect event to introduce the sport to new and curious spectators.
holders choose Supercross due to its extreme difficulty, heart-pounding uncertainty, and the level of excitement that comes
along with it. Sanctioned by motorcycle associations, watchers are thrilled by the sights of bikes flying through the air
side by side, dust being eaten by less fortunate racers, and the possibility of collisions and accidents. And of course the
thought of their favorite racer taken the grand prize. Superstar riders such as James Stuart, Chad Reed, Ryan Dungey, and
Ryan Villopoto bring their high-flying skills to a feverous pitch on what is the most difficult track in all of Supercross.
Sure to be a sell-out crowd, these tickets are the hottest event in all of Daytona for thrill-seekers, bike enthusiasts,
and people that enjoy a down and dirty good time.
