As one of the original groups to alternate heavy guitar riffs and raucous vocals with more whispered singing and ethereal
music, the Deftones have heated up the music scene with hits like Rocket Skates for decades. The band is still going strong

In the late 1980s, then high school students Abe Cunningham, Chino Moreno and Stephen Carpenter jammed together in Sacramento,
California - never knowing at the time that they were destined for rock greatness. They selected the band's name and started
playing gigs locally going through various bass players before discovering permanent bassist Chi Cheng. The dawn of the 1990s
brought the Deftones to expand their heavy metal-based sound inspired by music pioneers like Rage Against the Machine, Faith
No More and Tool. To hear the Deftones play live and loud, make sure you secure your tickets through StubHub. StubHub is the

The Deftones released their first demo, landing the group a recording contract. The full-length album, Adrenaline, was
their first and debuted in 1995. Sales of Adrenaline peaked at 200,000 copies, and their 1997 album, Around the Fur, launched
the band to the top as well. A seven-track import EP, Live, was issued while the Deftones went to work on their third studio
album. White Pony came out in 2000, and achieved success with a No. 3 spot on the album charts. It was evident with this release
that the band was fearless when it came to experimenting with different sounds. The album went against the grain with songs
dusted by influences of bands like the Smiths and The Cure. The Deftones are also noted for albums like, Eros and Diamond
Eyes. To hear a live performance of their hit tracks off these albums, make sure to grab your tickets through StubHub today!
When first breaking out onto the music scene, the Deftones cultivated a loyal fan base the old-fashioned way with an exhaustive
tour schedule to get their music in front of audiences. They opened for many acts, including L7, Korn and Ozzy Osbourne. The
band was also a part of the Sanitarium tour, featuring Metallica and Linkin Park. To find out about which venue the Deftones
are headed to next, just go to StubHub!
