The Broncos in the Playoffs

The Denver Broncos are putting together one heck of a 2013 season and look like a real contender to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. Quarterback Peyton Manning is having one of his best seasons in his National Football League career, and that's truly saying something when it comes to this future Hall of Famer. The Broncos offense has looked like a well-oiled machine this season thanks largely in part to Manning but also due to the excellent receiving corps at his disposal. With three very good receivers and a breakout tight end, Manning has been slinging the ball all over the field and has a chance to set some new passing records by the end of the regular season. But at Manning's age, the regular season accomplishments pale in comparison to what he can get done in the postseason. Manning won one Super Bowl with the Indianapolis Colts, and he's looking to add another title with the Broncos. John Elway brought in Manning to take this team to a championship, and it looks like that very well could happen this season.

The Broncos looked primed to make a run at a Super Bowl appearance last season, but it was snatched away from them by the eventual champion Baltimore Ravens in a thrilling ending that left Broncos fans shocked. However, the team seems determined not to let that happen again this season, and with some extra firepower offensively it's a good bet that teams will have a hard time keeping up with Denver on the scoreboard. When the Broncos hit the field this season, they're sure to be focused and ready to play their hearts out. This is a veteran team that is as explosive as it gets on the offensive side of the ball. If the defense can play decently, it could be enough to net the Broncos the Vince Lombardi Trophy this season.

The Team

The Denver Broncos are a team in the National Football League that competes in the AFC West division. Their division rivals are the Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders. The Broncos are one of the best teams in the NFL this season, and are looking to make a serious run in the postseason. The Broncos were ousted by the Baltimore Ravens in last year's playoffs in surprising fashion, and the team is not willing to let that kind of thing happen again this time around. With a dynamic offense that features one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game in Peyton Manning, Denver looked poised to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. Fans are sure to flock to the stadium to see the Broncos in the playoffs, because it doesn't get any better than playoff football.

The Experience

There is nothing better than seeing a National Football League playoff game live and in person. The NFL is the top sports league in all the land for a reason, and when it comes to the postseason the level of play is at the apex of its potential. Fans pack into stadium around the country for some of the biggest matchups of the season, and there's nothing quite like the atmosphere at a playoff contest. Imagine being there in the stands when it's late in the fourth quarter and your team is driving down the field on a possession that will make or break their season. The home team needs to hear their fans behind them; they're all the more likely to elevate their level of play. The playoffs are a whole different experience from the regular season, which is why so many fans will do whatever it takes to get to one of these games.

Denver Broncos NFL History

The Denver Broncos first got their start in the NFL in 1960, when they began playing in the AFL. After the AFL-NFL merger in 1970, the Broncos joined the NFL's AFC West division, and have been an on-and-off dominant team since then. The Broncos have two Super Bowl titles under their belt, in 1997 and again in 1998. The Broncos have not won a Super Bowl since the days of John Elway when they took those back to back titles in the late '90s. The Broncos have been to the postseason 19 times over the course of the franchise's history, and been kings of their division on a dozen occasions. They have been to the Super Bowl six times, but were only able to emerge victorious with the two aforementioned Elway-led teams.

Denver Broncos Trivia

During one four-year span, The Denver Broncos reached three Super Bowls but managed to come out on the losing end in all of those contests. During what seasons did these Super Bowls occur?

Denver Broncos Fans
