Denver Broncos Schedule

Denver Broncos Schedule - Broncos Schedule

Denver Broncos Schedule in 2014

The Denver Broncos are looking to trample the competition this season as they vie for a return trip to the Super Bowl. To do so Denver is going to have to win some tough games, starting with their Week 1 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts. These two teams will square off in Denver to kick off the season on September 7th, and Peyton Manning would love to get a victory over his former team.

The Broncos will face another tough game on September 21st when they head to Seattle to face a Seahawks team that defeated them in the Super Bowl last season. Denver certainly will have revenge on their minds in this contest, but scoring points on the vaunted Seattle defense is never easy. Manning will have to limit his mistakes in order to lead the Broncos to victory in this one.

Denver has another tough game coming their way when the San Francisco 49ers visit on October 19th. The Niners are one of the best teams in the NFC year in and year out, and they're looking to break through and get a Super Bowl win. Denver will look to put up points on a tough San Fran defense while slowing down Niners quarterback Colin Kaepernick and the rest of the offense. This should be a great game, and if Denver can win it will show that they're pointed in the direction of the Super Bowl yet again. Make sure to check out the other great matchups on the schedule as well.

Denver Broncos Team Info

The Denver Broncos are fresh off a 2013 season that saw them make it all the way to the Super Bowl. Though the Broncos were unable to win the big game, last season has to be considered very impressive. Quarterback Peyton Manning had himself a season for the ages, breaking the single season passing record for yards and touchdowns. The Denver offense was a well-oiled machine last season, and though they lost some pieces in the offseason the outlook for 2014 is very promising on that side of the ball. The team will look to put the ball in the hands of running back Montee Ball more often this season, as he has the potential to be a big workhorse on the ground for Denver. If the Denver defense can hold up this season, it could be another banner year for the Broncos.

Fan Experience

The National Football League is the premier sports league in the country, evidenced by the sheer number of fans that attend games on an annual basis. Look no further that right here if you're expecting to see an amazing sporting event, as there is nothing quite like being there for an exciting NFL matchup loaded with heart-pounding intensity. Whether it's a highlight-reel run, spectacular catch or eye-popping throw, the NFL has you covered if you're looking for top-tier football action that you'll be talking about well after it's over. The Denver Broncos play all of their home games at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, a great venue that opened in 2001 and has a capacity of more than 76,000 for the biggest games of the season. If you've never been out to a big home game, you have no idea what you've been missing, as there is nothing like being with tens of thousands of Broncos fans for all of the most exciting moments of the game. But even though home games are a must, the Broncos also play in some intense road games each and every season, so don't get limited by only going to the home games this season.

Denver Broncos Trivia

How many touchdowns did Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning throw last season?

The answer is 55, which set a new single-season record for the NFL. Manning had set the record years ago when he threw 49, but that record was broken by Tom Brady a few years later. Manning and the Denver offense had one of the most impressive seasons over in 2013.

Denver Broncos History

The football legacy of the Denver Broncos began in 1960, giving their fans some major thrills in more than five decades of top-tier football. The Broncos were charter member of the American Football League and joined the NFL during the AFL-NFL merger in 1970.The team has been to the Super Bowl on seven occasions, though they've only been able to capture the Vince Lombardi Trophy twice. The team won back to back championships in the late 1990s thanks to quarterback John Elway, who has gone down as one of the best signal callers in the history of the league. The Broncos play the division rival Chiefs, Raiders and Chargers twice every year in what are always hard-fought games, though there are plenty of other matchups on the schedule that you know you'll want to be a part of.
