Denver Nuggets Road Games

Denver Nuggets Road Games tickets

Denver Nuggets Road Schedule in 2013-14

The Denver Nuggets are ready to take their game on the road this season as they battle it out for a playoff spot in the competitive Western Conference. The Nuggets were able to secure the second spot in the Northwest Division in 2012-13, posting an impressive a 57-25 record on their way to the third playoff seed in the Western Conference. The Nuggets are armed with a new coach and some new players, and are looking to rise even higher in the ranks out West this season. The Nuggets have a talented squad that will face off with some of the best teams in the NBA on the road this season. Playing on the road is never an easy task in the NBA, so the Nuggets will look to hear some cheers from their own fans that come out to opposing teams' arenas throughout the 2013-14 campaign.

The Nuggets will be heading to Oklahoma City several times this season to take on the Thunder in contests that will truly test how good this Denver team is. The Thunder won the Northwest Division title last season and should again be one of the best teams in the Western Conference. With a star player in Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City is incredibly difficult to stop on the offensive end. Without elite defender Andre Iguodala on the roster this season, the team will likely look to swingman Corey Brewer to defend top offensive players like Durant. Some victories in OCK this season would be huge for the Nuggets.

Denver will certainly be looking forward to heading out west to Oracle Arena in an effort to exact revenge on the Golden State Warriors for bouncing them out of the postseason last year. The Nuggets earned the third seed in the conference, yet fell in the first round to a Golden State team that got hot at the most opportune time. Denver would love to walk into Oakland and take home some big victories in 2013-14.

Denver Nuggets Team Info

The Denver Nuggets compete in Northwest Division of the NBA's Western Conference, where they tale on the Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz, Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder for the division crown. The Nuggets had a good showing in 2012-13, but some big changes were made in the offseason after a first-round playoff exit at the hands of the Golden State Warriors. The team let go longtime head coach George Karl, despite his success in coaching the team to more than 50 wins last season, and hired longtime Lakers assistant Brian Shaw. Fans of the Nuggets can expect to see the team's style of play changed with Shaw at the helm. Denver also lost a key player when Andre Iguodala left via free agency. Iguodala played many roles for the Nuggets last season, mostly as a lockdown defender and secondary ball distributor, so the team will look for players like Wilson Chandler and Corey Brewer to help pick up some of the slack that Iggy's absence will leave. The Nuggets still have one of the best point guards in the National Basketball Association in Ty Lawson, who will be asked to shoulder even more of the offensive load this season. Lawson is out to prove that he belongs in the conversation with guards like Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook, and he'll certainly have enough responsibility to prove that if things go well in Denver. It should be an interesting season of Denver Nuggets hoops this season as the team matches up with some tough teams on the road.

Fan Experience

If you're a fan of the Denver Nuggets, surely you've been to a game in person on multiple occasions. There's nothing better than being there when your favorite players take to the court and showcase their skills for everyone in attendance to enjoy. When it comes to road games, it's a completely different experience than being there at the Pepsi Center. The Nuggets have the chance to show what they're made of when they're in hostile territory, and seeing that first hand will give you a good handle on how mentally tough this year's squad truly is.

Denver Nuggets Trivia

Did you know that Denver Nuggets head coach Brian Shaw once played in the National Basketball Association?

That's right - while Shaw was not a star player in the league, he served as a reliable guard for some great teams throughout his career.

Denver Nuggets History

The Denver Nuggets were first hit the court in 1967 as a member of the American Basketball Association (ABA) before the league merged with the National Basketball Association in 1976. The Nuggets have never been to the NBA Finals, and that is something that the team is hoping to change as soon as possible. This team adds to their history with every passing season, yet the organization is still waiting for that crowning moment.
