Canadian artist and musician John O'Regan goes by the stage name of Diamond Rings. He launched his music career as one
of the fledgling members of post-punk quartet, The D'Urbervilles. He also formed the Casio-pop group, Habitat, in 2006 with
Sylvie Smith of The Barmitzvah Brothers. He began penning Diamond Rings songs in the summer of 2008, following graduation
from the University of Guelph with a studio arts degree. His earliest songs were inspired by a lengthy hospital stay where
he was being treated for Crohn's disease. O'Regan cites that the inception of Diamond Rings is rooted in his desire to challenge
people's expectations for a male pop sensation.
All Yr Songs, was Diamond Rings' first release as a limited edition split 7" vinyl single. He included his friends PS I

Reg, a Toronto musician. The music video to complement Wait & See was debuted on Pitchfork Media in Febuary 2010. Diamond
Rings' next single, which was a 12" dance track entitled, Show Me Your Stuff, came out in June 2010. His premiere full-length
album, Special Affections, garnered positive reviews from Pitchfork, Exclaim! and AllMusic.
