Dirty South Background
South (Dragan Roganovic) was born in Europe, and his family relocated to Melbourne, Australia, when he was 13 years old. He
developed a taste for music early on. Since he didn't have enough money to buy turntables, he made do with what he had and
took an inventive approach. He began "mixing" with an old NEC Hi-Fi. And he fed his growing interest with production by using
software with his computer to craft beats.
Influenced by Led Zeppelin, Dirty South put all his energy into developing
bootleg tracks and mashups, fostering his innate talent to create an appealing dance floor arsenal. He then distributed his
It didn't take long for Dirty South to draw attention. When he infused his signature house music
into It's Too Late by Evermore (2006), the who's who of the dance music arena took notice. Dance celebrity Pete Tong hailed
the track as one of his "Essential New Tunes." This was the first track since Don't Call Me Baby garnered the honor in 1999.
