Doyle Concert Background
Doyle may have risen to fame for his work with the Misfits, but the irony is that he
was originally the roadie for the band. Doyle is the younger brother of Jerry Only, the bassist for The Misfits, and because
of his brother Doyle was able to get a roadie gig. His brother and Glenn Danzig started to teach Doyle how to play the guitar,
and by the time he was 16, Doyle had joined the Misfits as their fourth guitarist. In 1987, The Misfits dissolved, but that
didn't stop Doyle from rocking out on stages with his wild showmanship and horror punk rock sound. Doyle and Jerry formed
their own band called Kryst the Conqueror, but eventually the Misfits reformed in 1995 as a touring act and they brought their
horror punk tunes to stages all over the country once again.
In 2005, Doyle decided to form his own band called Gorgeous
Frankenstein, but no matter how many various bands he joined or formed, Doyle always knew how to showcase his phenomenal star
quality on stage. In 2013, Doyle decided to try his hand at a solo project, and he released his debut effort that year. He
also released the album Abominator in 2013, and horror punk rock fans around the world couldn't get enough of Doyle's phenomenal
sound. Not only does he crank out sounds that are just as unsettling and gripping as the Misfits did, but he also adds an
extra element of hardcore to his songs, making him one of the most exciting artists in the genre.
