About the Artist
The Dum Dum Girls
was first just the name that frontwoman and songwriter Dee Dee picked to release music. Soon enough, she added like-minded
musicians to the roster to change the Dum Dum Girls into a full-fledged girl band. The band released their first EP in 2008
and followed it up with the full-length debut album I Will Be in 2010. The Dum Dum Girls have been collecting additional fans
with every live show they perform. The Dum Dum Girls have an eclectic sound all their own, but that doesn't mean they don't
have stellar influences. The band members are influenced by a wide range of music, from 1980s rock music to tunes from the
doo-wop scene. They combine all of their influences to create a sound hat has captivated fans and critics alike. The indie
pop realm is a place that provides music artists a lot of room for experimentation. This fact makes it the perfect place for
the group Dum Dum Girls. Their music starts with the catchiness of pop but adds a large dose of edge to create music that
is unlike anything else on the scene.
There's something simply incredible about seeing
a concert live and in person that keeps people coming back for more whenever one of their favorite artists comes to town.
When you see a fantastic musical act like this one hit the stage in the same building that you're in, there's a magnetism

People have been coming together to enjoy live music in cultures
around the world for a countless number of years. If you think about it, live music is the true foundation of music itself,
and really the art's purest form. It can be an epic experience to see an artist in a huge amphitheater with thousands upon
thousands of screaming fans surrounding you, or it can be an intimate experience in a smaller venue in which you can really
connect with everyone in the building. Either way, seeing a concert live and in person always amounts to more than just listening
to music. When you head out to see a creative artist hit the stage at a venue near you, you're sure to become enveloped by
the entire experience of seeing a musical act that you know and love while surrounded by fellow adoring fans that have at
least that one thing in common. And often times, when it comes to music, that one thing is enough to bring people together.
Started as a personally-fueled project by front woman Dee Dee Penny, the Dum Dum Girls broke
through in 2010 when Penny released a debut album, I Will Be. The effort was well-received by both critics and music fans,
garnering the new group attention for the first time on any kind of large scale. However, until then the group was composed
of only Penny, who had used a number of different musicians on the album. Penny selected touring mates following the release
of I Will Be, for the subsequent tour.
Where did Dee Dee Penny come up with the name Dum Dum Girls?
answer is two places, the Iggy Pop Song "Dum Dum Boys" and The Vaselines album Dum Dum.
