What's buzzing on Alabama State University's campus? Whatever it is, you can probably find it inside of the Dunn Oliver Acadome, the school's heart when it comes to sports and entertainment. This venue has been echoing with cheers since 1992, when it first opened and became the home - or should we say nest? - of the ASU Hornets basketball team.
The Dunn Oliver Acadome originally opened in 1992 and was called the Joe L. Reed Acadome, after a prominent figure in the school who helped shape it into what it is today. In 2008, the school decided to honor two other figures that have played a seminal role in ASU history: Charles Johnson "C.J." Dunn and James V. Oliver. Both were basketball coaches that helped the Hornets attain greatness. You might say they gave them their buzz.
Dunn Oliver Acadome provides plenty of entertainment for those living in and around the Montgomery area. The venue is a hub for both college students and residents who are simply looking for a good time. If you live on campus, part of the college experience is cheering on the Hornets as they race down the court. There are always tickets available for big events.
Aside from the Hornets' games, there are concerts that are held at the Dunn Oliver Acadome and give visitors a chance to hear live music. Whether you're looking for concert tickets to an upcoming show or just want to root for your home basketball team, visit the Acadome soon.
