In college football, there are a few rivalries that stand out from the others because of history and intensity. One such
event is the Egg Bowl, which features a matchup between the MSU Bulldogs and the Ole Miss Rebels. During the 2010 Egg Bowl,
the Bulldogs took home the win with a 31-23 victory, but it is anyone's game in 2011.
Its official name may be the Egg Bowl, but the rivalry between the Mississippi State University Bulldogs and the University
of Mississippi Rebels is also known as the Battle for the Golden Egg. The very first Egg Bowl was played more than a century
ago, and many of the best stars in NCAA
football have been a part of past Egg Bowl games.
The Egg Bowl rotates between the home venues of the Bulldogs and the Revels. MSU plays its home games at the Davis Wade Stadium,
which has been a campus landmark since 1914. Ole Miss calls the Vaught-Hemingway
Stadium home, and it has been a storied part of the Ole Miss tradition for nearly a century.
The fans of Ole Miss and MSU are among some of the most die-hard in all of college football. There isn't a game that brings
out the passion nearly as much as the Egg Bowl. One of the ways to help your team take home the win is to be there to cheer
them on in person. Reserve your sports tickets
for the Egg Bowl early this year.
