FC Dallas Schedule in 2014

FC Dallas is ready to turn up the heat on the field this season as they look to rise in the ranks by taking down some of the best teams in Major League Soccer. This team looks to have some real potential in 2014, but it's going to take good coaching and consistency to make their presence known around the league. FC Dallas calls the Western Conference home, a conference packed to the brim with competitive clubs. Dallas did not have a great season in 2013, missing the postseason, but the team is back in 2014 and ready to rise in the ranks of the Western Conference. Dallas has gotten off to a solid start in 2014, looking stronger than they were last season. The Western Conference looks competitive yet again, as expected, so Dallas will have to maintain their solid level of play if they're going to contend for a spot in the postseason, which is certainly the team's ultimate goal.

Dallas got a big victory on June 7th when they took down the Colorado Rapids by a score of 3-2. The Rapids are looking good this season, but they were unable to withstand FC Dallas in this one. The Rapids are in contention for the playoffs in the Western Conference as well, so beating a team like this is always huge for Dallas. Dallas was firing on all cylinders in this contest, and while they did allow two Colorado goals they were able to stave off a third and secure the victory.

The atmosphere at Toyota Stadium is sure to be electric when Real Salt Lake comes to town this season. Real Salt Lake made it all the way to the MLS Cup last season as the best team in the Western Conference, though they notched the second-best regular season record. If FC Dallas can take down a tea of this caliber it will be a huge confidence boost for the entire organization. These two teams will clash on August 22nd for what should be one of the best games of the year at Toyota Stadium. There are plenty of other great matchups on the docket for FC Dallas, though, and things will finish up at home on October 25th when the Portland Timbers come to Dallas for a visit. Make sure you're there for all the best games of the 2014 season.

FC Dallas History

As one of the founding franchises of Major League Soccer, FC Dallas is one of the most recognizable teams in the league. Originally known as the Dallas Burn, FC Dallas won the second-ever league championship in 1997, then known as the U.S. Open Cup, when they defeated DC United. In August 2005, FC Dallas moved to Toyota Stadium, their new home in Frisco, Texas. One of the most consistent teams in the MLS over the years, FC Dallas is always one of the most fun teams to watch around the league. This squad is looking to add another MLS Cup to their trophy case this season, and they may just have what it takes to get the job done.

Fan Experience

Soccer is the most popular sport around the globe and interest in Major League Soccer is growing exponentially every year. In Dallas, soccer fans are as passionate as anywhere in the country, and seeing a match at Toyota Stadium is an experience not to be missed. Fans play a pivotal role in the success of a team, and FC Dallas feeds of the energy of their home crowd at every home game. Within Toyota Stadium, there are many different fan groups to enjoy throughout a match. The Inferno is a group of original fans from the team's inception in 1995 and are some of the loudest fans in all of the MLS. The Inferno also hosts some great tailgating action before every home game as well. At Toyota Stadium you can also experience The Red Shamrock in section 101 of the stadium. The Red Shamrock like to help educate FC Dallas fans on the nuances of the game and how to cheer appropriately for your squad.
