The Ferris State Bulldogs kick off
their home schedule against the traditional hockey powerhouse Michigan Wolverines on Saturday, October 4th in what could be
one of the most exciting games of the regular season as well as a preview of a potential NCAA Tournament match up. There are
plenty of other big games at Ewigleben Arena this season including games against the Wilfred Laurier Golden Hawks, the Michigan
Tech Huskies, the Alaska Acnhorage Seawolves, the Alabama Huntsville Chargers, the Lake Superior State Lakers, the Minnesota
State Mavericks, the Bowling Green State Falcons, and the Beidji State Beavers. The Bulldogs will also take part in the 50th
Annual Great Lakes Invitational from December 28th through the 29th at Joe Lewis Arena in Detroit, Michigan which will be
one of college hockey's biggest events of the season.
The Ferris State Bulldogs enter the 2014-2015
season as the defending WCHA regular season champions and they are well aware that every other team in the conference will
be looking to take them down. Legendary Bulldogs head coach has proven that he knows how to motivate his team and he will
have plenty of leadership on the ice in the form of captain Scott Czarnowczan. This year the Bulldogs will be looking to make
back to back appearances in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in the program's history. With all of the recent success
of the team as well as the new conference realignments it is an exciting time to be a Bulldogs fan and you will want to be
at Ewigleben Arena to cheer them on to another big victory.

State Bulldogs fans are some of the most dedicated and vociferous fans in the entire NCAA. On game day at Ewigleben Arena,
the fans file in and take their seats when the cheering and chanting begins. As the clock winds down closer and closer to
the dropping of the puck the crowd works itself into a frenzy. Finally both teams are ready for face off and the excitement
really begins. Thunderous, bone rattling hits, incredible displays of speed and agility, powerful slapshots, and tremendous

Ferris State Bulldogs Hockey Conference
The Bulldogs play in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association
which has long been one of the most dominant conferences in all of college hockey. The WCHA has won more National Championships
than any other conference in the country with a total of 36. Additionally a school from the WCHA has finished as the national
runner up 28 times. The most recent winner of the NCAA Men's Hockey National Championship from the WCHA are the Minnesota
Duluth Bulldogs who won it on 2011. The conference has been in existence since the 1951 season and currently consists of 16
teams: the Alabama Huntsville Chargers, the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves, the Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks, the the Bemidji State
Beavers, the Bowling Green State Falcons, the Ferris State Bulldogs, the Lake Superior State Lakers, the Michigan Technological
University Huskies, the Minnesota State Mankato Mavericks,and the Northern Michigan Wildcats. Last season was a big change
for the WCHA as several teams left for newly formed hockey conferences in the Big Ten and the National Collegiate Hockey Conference.
With new additions to the conference comes new blood and the potential for new rivalries which will grow over the years. The
WCHA remains one of the top hockey conferences in the NCAA and the go-to place for world-class college hockey.
Ferris State Bulldogs have been to the NCAA Tournament three times and made it all the way to the Frozen Four in 2012.
