About the Artist

Ferry Corsten is a Dutch producer and electronic musician who has become an international superstar in the EDM world for his unique and dance-worthy mixes. He was took the No. 7 spot on the annual DJ Magazine Top 100 DJ Poll. He has continued to make the list every year since, and continues to be a highly sought-after act in the music world.

Corsten grew up in the Netherlands, dreaming of becoming a producer and DJ. He remixed under several different aliases while in high school, and released his first record when he was 16. By the time he was 17 he had already booked professional work and was working as a DJ. Along with DJing, Corsten also washed cars and worked other odd jobs to earn money to buy his first keyboard. He sold his mixtapes to friends at school and other teens in his neighborhood to gain extra cash and get his work out in the community. He later teamed up with another aspiring DJ and began performing his mixes live. He won an award for his work in the mid-90s, even earning a chart position with his single "Don't Be Afraid." Corsten formed his own label with his business partner and began producing his own music. Since the 90s, Corsten has become a huge sensation in the EDM world. He continues to headline tours and perform for his growing number of fans.

Breakthrough Performance

Corsten found fame in the late 1990s when he began working on his second solo project under the alias System F. His first album as System F. was released on the Tsunami imprint in 1999. His trance-inducing melodies that mesmerized dance club inhabitants in the early 90s were back and better than ever in this album, and fans couldn't get enough of them. His first single from Out of the Blue earned a No. 20 spot on the UK singles chart and his follow-up single "Cry" earned a spot on the UK Top 20. Throughout the next few years, System F.'s popularity began to grow and he got the opportunity to work with other big names of the time like DJ Tiesto, Vincent de Moor and Robert Smit.

Fan Experience

If you've ever been to Ohio, you know that that the native people are generally nice, hold-the-door-open-for-you kind of people. And when you come out to listen to a live performance featuring this one-of-a-kind singer, you will get that hometown feeling from this down-to-Earth guy. While he has gone on several tours singing hits from his glossy studio albums with a full band and special effects to spare, his latest music is simpler and unencumbered by over-the-top glamour. He's just a guy who's there to sing his heartfelt music and tell you what inspired his thought-provoking lyrics.

His Midwest charm extends throughout his performance, and on into the crowd where the singer often finds himself after a concert, chatting and laughing with his fans. House's humble demeanor and hilarious anecdotes makes his performances more than just a musical set. They are an entertaining night on the porch, listening to the sweet melodies of an acoustic guitar drift off into the darkness. Don't be surprised if the audience begs for an encore and House extends his already jam-packed set.
