About The Band
Not quite rock and not quite traditional Irish music,
The Fighting Jamesons have found the perfect balance between the two, adding in an aggressive and energetic atmosphere to
their live shows that really amps up the intensity! Formed in Virginia in the late 00's, the members of this one of a kind
traditional Irish rock band have been making waves on the music scene with both their original songs and covers of traditional
classics such as "Danny Boy" and more. With their home being in Virginia, the group quickly began touring all over the East
coast, leaving audiences breathless and ready for more with each and every show. And so they began to steadily grow their
audience substantially with each passing performance, along the way sharing the stage with a wide array of big name bands.
It was in 2011 that The Fighting Jamesons released their self-titled debut album to great acclaim, and have since then done
the world a big favor by releasing yet another gem, this time in the form of an EP called "Mid the Green Fields EP". Each
and every one of their releases manages to capture the magic and intensity that normally can only come across with a live
performance, but they still manage to make their live shows one of the most endearing events around.
With a few releases under their belts, they question for all newcomers is bound to be which of their albums made
the biggest impact. This can be looked at in a few varying ways, but when it comes to the Fighting Jamesons and their stellar
releases, it would be wisest to start from the beginning. Their self-titled debut album released in 2011 is a solid entry
of which the Fighting Jamesons have been building upon ever since.
Fighting Jamesons Trivia
group of Irish rockers are known to tell tales, tall and otherwise, through their songs and to each other, one of the most
interesting of these tales is one that is not often told. Jeffrey McLaughlin, the man in charge of fiddle and mandolin for
the group, claims that his family had emigrated from Ireland all the way back in 1913, but were actually to be bound for America
the previous year on the Titanic, but couldn't afford it. Whether true or not, this is just one more of a cavalcade of interesting
tales that these musicians have to tell.
When you find yourself in the audience at one
of the Fighting Jamesons live shows, you're in for a musical treat like none other that will have you dancing and clapping
your hands until the inevitable end. There are few live acts out there that carry the same kind of energy and intensity that
The Fighting Jamesons do, which makes it that much more of an incredible experience when you make it out to see them do what
they do best on the stage. There seems to be no stopping this group of Irish rockers, and if their past releases are any indication
then it seems that the future hold nothing but success for them. Tickets to see this wild rock group are now on sale, but
if you really want to join in on the fun then you'll have to secure your spot at the show by getting your tickets from Stubhub!
