Rick Roberts was inspired to name his band "Firefall" after a tradition in Yosemite National Park. Every year, a woodpile is set aflame in the beautiful setting of Yosemite, and the fiery woodpile is pushed over the edge of a cliff. The onlookers watch as the fire falls and incinerates the wood before reaching the ground.
