A brand new band is on the scene, but they’re music is a fresh take on the classic folk rock of the ‘60s and ‘70s. If you love the experimental, softer sounds found in prog, you’ll find lots to love in the Fleet Foxes. This incredibly indie band has a unique, baroque take on music that you won’t find on the radio. Get Fleet Foxes tickets now and find out what they’re like live!
Clearly influenced by folk and classic rock, Fleet Foxes is a band out of time. The band is: Robin Pecknold on vocals and guitars, Skyler Skeljest on guitars, Bryn Lumsden on bass, Nicholas Peterson on drums and Casey Wescott on keyboards. A self-titled debut was released to rave reviews in 2008, sporting a painting by medieval artist Pieter Bruegel on its cover.
The Bruegel painting on the cover of the Fleet Foxes first album seems to suggest that this is a band that is indeed from another time period. Their lyrics and music seem to reinforce that. Part hazy nostalgia, part innovative, experimental folk band, their music isn’t easily described. It’s guaranteed to satisfy, however—but concert tickets won’t last long. Get them today!
