FSU hoops program dates back to their inaugural season in 1947-48, and since then the 'Noles have been battling it out with
all the best teams in college basketball. Florida State has reached the NCAA Tournament on more than a dozen occasions, and
made it all the way to the National Championship Game in 1972, though they were unable to win the title. The team and the
fans are eagerly awaiting the first time the Seminoles can break through and win it all.

'Noles uniform was Dave Cowens, who went on to play more than 10 seasons in the National Basketball Association, averaging
more than 17 points per game throughout his pro career. Another FSU great was Sam Cassell, a spunky point guard who also went
on to play in the pros. Cassell averaged 16 points and six assists per game throughout his long career.
