Fox Theater Pomona History
The Fox Theater in Pomona, California first opened all the way back in 1931 as a movie
palace that aimed to provide the growing middle class of the Pomona area with entertainment. The gorgeous Art Deco theater
was immensely popular for decades but slowly began losing business in the Seventies due to the rise of multiplex theaters.
The venue fell into disrepair and was closed in 1977 before reopening in 1998 as a venue for concerts and raves. Fox Theater
Pomona was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and now stands as one of the premiere venues for live
music in the area. Fox Theater brings in big time acts that attract music lovers from all over Southern California so be sure
to get your tickets for the venue's biggest shows from StubHub as soon as possible while they are still available.
