Frank Turner's life has made him a well-traveled man. He was born in Bahrain in 1981, then got his education at Eton College in the U.K. He joined Million Dead, a hardcore punk outfit, in 2000, and stayed with it for a good four-year run. The project taught him a lot about music, and those lessons were put into practice when he formed his folksier solo project in 2005, when Million Dead broke up.
