Francis Stephen Castelluccio was born on May 3, 1937 in Newark, New Jersey. Valli began to sing in 1953, and adopted his stage name after his favorite singer, Jean Valley. His greatest success was as the lead singer of The Four Seasons, and he continued his success as a solo artist for many years thereafter.
