The Bulldogs are coming off another winning season in the nation's toughest conference, as the Bulldogs went 5-3 in the SEC in 2013 and went 8-5 overall. Though that's a very good season for almost any program in the nation, the Bulldogs have their sights set even higher this season and are looking to challenge for a title, giving all kinds of reasons for optimism for Bulldogs' fans this season.

Though home games are always great for fans, you can't forget about the other half of the schedule, as seeing your favorite team on the road is just one of those things that every fan needs to do sooner or later. Road matchups against teams like South Carolina, Missouri, Arkansas and Kentucky are sure to be all the rage this year as the Bulldogs look to pile up some impressive road wins and make their move towards the top of the SEC standings. It's not going to be easy with so many prominent programs on their schedule, but the Bulldogs have too much talent to back away from a challenge and Bulldogs' fans are once again digging in for another intense season of football.

Georgia Bulldogs Football Team Info

The Georgia Bulldogs have a long and storied history in college football, completely with plenty of All-Americans and players who have gone on to star in the NFL. Many All-Americans have played for the Bulldogs during the past and are sure to in the future as well. The Georgia Bulldogs have heated rivalries with teams like the Auburn Tigers and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, among others, which always keeps the season interesting as they continuously go up against some of the best programs in the nation. Over the years, the Bulldogs have appeared in bowl games like the Liberty Bowl, Independence Bowl, Sugar Bowl and others as well, and they always seem to be in the discussion for one major bowl game or another.

NCAA Football Experience

The Georgia Bulldogs football program has some of the most loyal and passionate fans in the entire country, and it isn't because the Bulldogs have a lack of excitement from one season to the next. Sure, you can get a glimpse of the game from that fancy TV, but you're in for a completely different experience if you head out to see the big game the way it was meant to be seen. Home games are obviously a big deal for a reason, but the road games can be every bit as exhilarating, as there is no feeling in sports quite like watching your team take a victory on the road in front of a stunned crowd.

Georgia Bulldogs Football History

Like otherSEC footballteams, the Georgia Bulldogs football program got its start in the 1890s, which is one of the reasons why football is simply a part of the culture down around the campus in Athens, Georgia. Over the years, a steady stream of great players have helped to elevate the program, with guys like Knowshon Moreno, Mathew Stafford, Champ Bailey, Garrison Hearst, Richard Seymour and Fran Tarkenton representing just a sliver of the great players who have gone on to star in the NFL as well. With another talented team loaded with NFL prospects, the Bulldogs have a squad that is set to challenge even the premier programs in the nation as they look to put together another memorable season that will be all the talk around campus.

Georgia Bulldogs Football Trivia

Did you know that Herschel Walker wasn't drafted until the fifth round of the 1985 NFL draft?

After dominating for the Bulldogs, Walker continued to absolutely shred defenses when he played in the USFL, where he won two rushing titles in three seasons and amassed 2,411 yards in 1985, setting the all-time professional record for rushing yards. After that, somehow Walker managed to slip all the way to the fifth round, where the Dallas Cowboys finally selected him.
