Georgia Lady Bulldogs Schedule in 2014-2015

We know that the men's team can light up the scoreboard, but you definitely shouldn't forget about the women's team either, as they have built a powerhouse program of their own and they always are one of the more talented teams in the SEC. Come out and see a great game absolutely filled to the brim with slick shots, pinpoint passes and nail-biting moments that you'll be talking about a long time it's all over as the Lady Bulldogs hope to shoot their way up the standings. When you're there in the middle of an amazing game that everyone has been buzzing about around town, you'll be glad that you're not still sitting at home wondering what the atmosphere of the big game is like.

And that's because college basketball is one of those sports that you have to see first-hand if you want to truly understand what all the excitement is about, mainly because it's a sport that heads to a completely different level when you get a chance to actually be there to be a part of the bench-gripping action as a team like the Lady Bulldogs hits the court looking to do their thing. One look at the schedule and you'll see plenty of opportunities, as they'll take on conference opponents like Kentucky, Auburn, Alabama, Florida and many more, providing plenty of opportunities to see the Bulldogs the way they were meant to be seen.

Team Info

Against teams like Alabama, Florida, LSU and many more in the ultra-competitive SEC, the Bulldogs get to go up against some of the toughest teams in college hoops, though the Bulldogs also have plenty of talented players that know how to wreak havoc on their opponents as they hope to pile up the wins and give their fans another memorable season. Great players in their history include Janet Harris, Teresa Edwards, Katrina McClain and many more, and you never know when the next great player is going to burst onto the scene with a banner year that will have the Bulldogs storming up the SEC.

The Experience

The only play is to actually be there with all the other fans that love college basketball as much as you do, giving you a heart-pounding sports experience that will have you checking the calendar once you get home so you can get ready to do it all over again. When the Bulldogs are in the middle of an epic clash with another powerhouse, you can count on the stands being filled with passion and fanfare, as the Bulldogs fan base definitely knows how to show up and provide the home-court advantage backbone. When the Bulldogs are bringing the ball up the court in a nail-biter, you'll understand loud and clear what all of the buzz is about.

Georgia Lady Bulldogs History

The University of Georgia Lady Bulldogs are a dominating force on the scene of the Southeastern Conference, taking down other Eastern Division rivals like Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vanderbilt on a regular basis as they've put together one winning team after another. This is a team that has been putting together winning seasons for a very long time, finishing as the runner-up for the whole NCAA Tournament in both '85 and '96. Though they've never won the big one, they've been to the Elite Eight on five different occasions and four different times went to the Final Four, competing in the Big Dance 30 different times.

Georgia Lady Bulldogs Trivia

Did you know that the Lady Bulldogs won the conference tournament three different times in the 1980s?

Though the Bulldogs have had some major winning seasons in recent years, it was really all clicking for the Bulldogs back in the 1980s. Winning the conference title in 1983, 1984 and once again in 1986, the Lady Bulldogs brought the program to a completely different level during that era, though they would again resurface near the top of the conference when they won the regular season conference title in 1991, 1996, 2000 and again in 2001.

The Fans

For all the top-tier matchups at Stageman Coliseum, the Bulldogs will be digging in looking to pile up the wins and make a big move up the conference standings. The atmosphere at the big game isn't something that you can recreate anywhere but the stands, though it's probably best to step away from the smart phone and learn it for yourself as the Bulldogs hope to pile up the wins and give their fans another memorable season of college hoops. With more than 10,500 strong for some of the biggest home games of the season, there's never exactly a lack of passion and energy whenever the Bulldogs take to the court for a highly anticipated matchup. Just don't forget to wear your favorite team gear, as there is sure to be plenty of Bulldog red and black all over the arena.
