Adapted from the original film, this musical follows lovers Sam and Molly, who are walking home to their apartment late one
night. After a run-in with a mugger, they are struck with tragedy when Sam is murdered. Sam's untimely death causes him to
become trapped between the spiritual world and the physical world. To make matters worse, Molly is in danger in the physical
world and Sam has no way of protecting her. Desperate to communicate with her, he seeks the guidance of a phony spiritual
medium who ends up being surprised to learn that she actually can communicate with spirits. With her help, Sam is able to
protect Molly and avenge his death.
Ghost The Musical debuted in March of 2011 at the Manchester Opera House, and was
directed by Matthew Warchus, who is a Tony Award winner. With musical geniuses Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, the music and
lyrics of the musical came together to perfectly convey the essence of the film. Backed by a creative team consisting of Rob
Howell, Christopher Nightingale, Ashley Wallen, Hugh Vanstone, Bobby Aitken, and Paul Kieve, Ghost The Musical went on the
dazzle and enchant audiences during its first run at the Manchester Opera House.
After a successful stint at the Manchester
Opera House, Ghost The Musical made its West End debut, and shortly after it officially opened on Broadway in April of 2012.
Since its Broadway debut, Ghost The Musical has illustrated the power of love through its moving performances and brilliant
songwriting. The Broadway production was nominated for three Tony Awards, for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a
Musical, Best Scenic Design, and Best Lighting Design. It ended up taking home the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Set Design,
for Jon Driscoll, Rob Howell, and Paul Kieve.

The original London production was nominated for many Laurence Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical, Best Performance
