Giselle - New York Cast

It's hard to cast for a stage show as it is, but when the show is based on a much older work, it can be tough to figure out how each character should be played. Some shows have a dearth of characters to cast for, and whether it's Duke Albrecht of Silesia, The Prince of Courtland, Wilfride, Hilarion, Bathilde, Gerthe, Myrtha, Zulme, Moyne, and of course, the titular Giselle, it can be extremely difficult to cast the perfect actor in each role. That's why the director of Giselle has established a rigorous auditioning process to weed out those actors that they feel may not be right for the role. After pouring over seemingly endless head shots and sitting through hours of rehearsals, the cast of Giselle was finally found. All those who were chosen to perform in Giselle are established actors that have proven themselves through the auditioning process that they're truly the best people for the job, maintaining the level of quality found by critics when the show first debuted for the stage. So don't miss out on your chance to see a popular show like Giselle on the stage when it comes to be performed near you, head to StubHub today to pick up your tickets so you don't miss out on a single second of this entertaining show! Get your tickets today while they're still available!

Giselle - New York Author

Originally inspired by a poem from Victor Hugo,Théophile Gautier first developed the idea for Giselle, but he wasn't sure if it would work on the stage. So naturally, he went to get a second opinion from someone whose judgment he could trust. After bringing his idea to his friendJules-Henri Verney de Saint-Georges, a professional librettist, they were both able to sit down and troubleshoot what the issues were in this unfinished show. Using his skills as a librettist, Jules-Henri Verney de Saint-Georges was able to work the story around a bit to be more favorable for the stage as a much more coherent and tight story. Both of them sent their manuscript over to M. Pillet, the head of the Paris Opera at the time, who was looking for just such a show to bring to his stage, which thankfully he did after seeing the script. Giselle is a much anticipated show in the theatrical world and it has fans from all over that flock out to see it, so if you were serious about heading out to the theater to catch Giselle on the stage, you should pick up your tickets through StubHub today while you still can! Don't miss out on your chance to see Giselle on the stage, get your tickets today!
